Working together to strengthen puppetry

We're delighted to let you know that in the coming months we will be coordinating a project that aims to build better infrastructure for puppetry in England. This is a collaborative project involving puppeteers, puppet venues and theatres, with input and advice from leaders in other sectors such as street arts and circus, higher education and others.

WE WANT YOUR INPUT!

Over the next four months a committee will be thinking about questions such as:

How can we raise the profile of puppetry in England?

Should we work more closely together to raise funds?

Are there sufficient opportunities for training, professional development and seeing each other's work, and work from aboard?

The outcome will be a realistic action plan for the sector that aims to help puppetry fulfil its potential.

In the next few weeks we will send out a survey to the Puppet Centre mailing list seeking your input at the start of this project. If you're not already on the mailing list or you would like further information contact Kate Anderson, Puppet Centre's Interim Director at: kate.anderson@puppetcentre.org.uk
